IRVING — Alice M. Nephew age 79 of Milestrip Rd. passed away Wednesday November 13, 2019 at the Mercy Hospital in Buffalo surrounded by family .Born into the Turtle Clan May 14, 1940 the daughter of Elsworth and Thelma (Mohawk) Schindler.Alice was a cook for the Seneca Nation AOA program for many years, she previously worked in food service for the former GPC and was a laborer with Forbes and Wagner.Alice was a Vestry Member of the Good Shepherd Church of Irving.Survivors include her husband Franklin K. Nephew whom she married in Brant May 23, 1962, their children; Richard (Julie Mohawk) Nephew, Cathy Nephew, Joyce Thompson, Luana (Shug) Jimerson, Marcy Nephew and Karla (Scott Rodriguez) Nephew. 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, a sister Linda Schindler and a brother Alton Schindler along with several nieces and nephews.Besides her parents Alice was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Dennis Schindler, Oliver and Gilbert Mohawk.Friends may call Friday November 15 at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda from 3-4:30 p.m. where a Service of Remembrance will commence at 4:30 p.m.
