Dr. Andree Penot

Dr Andree Penot, 97, of Fredonia Place in Fredonia, NY died at her residence on November 25, 2019, surrounded by her loving and devoted nieces. Andree was born in Saint Nazaire, France on March 6, 1922, to the late Andre Penot and Juliette Bretin.She received her Doctorate from Columbia University in New York City and was a French Professor at the State University of New York at Fredonia. She was much admired and respected for her excellence in teaching. Dr. Penot is survived by her three nieces from France, Nicole Decoussy of Saint Germain, Chantal Raux of Saint Lazare, and Jeanne Derique of Le Pomellec. The 11:00 AM Funeral Mass for Dr. Penot is on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at St. Anthony’s Church in Fredonia, NY, with the Rev. Joseph Walters as the celebrant.Interment will be in France.All arrangements have been entrusted to Michael
