Mary Jo Mulkin, 64, of Brocton died Friday morning (Nov. 22, 2019) at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa. following a brief illness with her family by her side.
She was born Dec. 24, 1954 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Gatto) Musso. A lifelong resident of the area, Mary Jo was a graduate of Fredonia High School, Class of 1972. She had been employed by Dunkirk Ice Cream Company.
Survivors include one daughter, Shannon Mulkin of Forestville; one son, Ryan Mulkin of Dunkirk; five grandchildren, Keleen, Sierra, James, Neveah, and Jordan; great grand-daughter, Seleen; her former husband, Dennis Mulkin; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Mulkin; and one sister, Barbara Jones.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Dunkirk American Legion Post 62, 211 Central Ave., Dunkirk, NY on Tuesday Nov. 26, from 3-5 p.m. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
