Rosemary Conti Sevola

She was born on August 9, 1940 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (LaDuca) Conti. On September 20, 1958 she married the late Frank J. Sevola of Fredonia.

Mrs. Sevola retired from Tops Markets after many years of service. After her retirement she enjoyed her family, friends and home. She was a life long member of Beta Sigma Phi and enjoyed many wonderful events, projects and community services with her loving sorority sisters. She cherished the time she spent with these remarkable women. She was a member of Hillview Golf Course where she played in women’s leagues. She embraced her life as a football, baseball and golf widow and she enjoyed cheering on her children and grandchildren in all their endeavors. She loved hosting her friends and family in her home and never missed an opportunity to be with the ones she loved.

She is survived by her son the Reverend Frank Sevola, OFM, of Boston, MA and her daughters Tina (Mara Golden) Sevola of Freeville, NY and Suzanne (Edward) Koning of Fredonia and her granddaughters Sarah Rose and Hannah Josephine Koning. Besides her husband of nearly 58 years, Frank, she was predeceased by her brother Thomas Conti in 1995.

Her family is grateful to the staff at Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center for all the excellent care she received over her four years of residency. She made many good friends there who will be fondly remembered.

Friends and family are invited to call at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk on Thursday November 14, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m.. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 15, at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Cushing Street in Fredonia.

Interment will be at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Fredonia.
