Salvador Torres

Salvador Torres, 68, of Dunkirk died Friday morning (Nov. 8, 2019) in Dunkirk following a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 20, 1951 in, Jayuya, Puerto Rico, the son of Delia (Robles) Torres of Paterson, NJ and the late Ernesto Torres. Salvador had been employed by Cedar Park Cemetery in Westwood, NJ. He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his former wife, Maria (Ruiz) Kuschel; two sons, Ricaldo Torres of Dunkirk and Salvador (Tiffanie) Torres Jr. of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Louisa Ruiz of Dunkirk and Maritza Torres of Paterson, NJ; three brothers, Edwin Torres and Radames Torres, both of Paterson, NJ and Neftali Torres of Puerto Rico; five sisters, Nereida, Marylinda, Aurea, and Carmen, all of Paterson, NJ, and Julia of Puerto Rico; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Salvador was preceded in death by his brother, Jose Torres.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2-4 at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
