Ann Maggio Cobb Cohen, 89, of Fredonia, NY, died at UPMC Hamot Medical Center of Erie, PA, on November 30, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 22, 1930, in Dunkirk, NY, to the late John S. and Marcella (Sofia) Maggio, Sr.
She had graduated from Fredonia High School and had been employed in various positions at Tops Markets for over thirty years. For her dedicated work ethic and service, Tops awarded Ann a plaque at her 30 year anniversary.
Ann enjoyed bowling in her younger years, cooking, playing cards with her friends, and senior day trips, especially those outings to the casino. However, her greatest joy was her family. She treasured those times with her siblings, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ann will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and belonged to the Dunkirk Senior Citizen Center.
Ann is survived by her children, Gary (Janice) Cobb of Temecula, CA and Lisa (Daniel) Tilburg of Fredonia, NY. She is further survived by her brothers, Anthony (Olga) Maggio of The Villages in FL, John Maggio and Francine Parisi of Fredonia, NY, Ron (Laura) Maggio of Springfield, MA, and Stepson Larry (Ann) Cohen. Ann will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Sara (Tom) Ippolito of Temecula, CA, Alicia (Joe) Brenecki of Fredonia, NY, Laura Tilburg and Jason Fox of Brant, NY, Stacey (Kenny) Betts of Fredonia, NY, Daniel (Charishma) Cohen of Santa Monica, CA, Adam Cohen of New York, NY and seven great grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Jacob, Madison, Deegan, Ronan, and Dominik, and several cherished nieces and nephews. Ann also leaves behind her dear friend, Ruby Lampert.
Sadly, Ann was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Richard Cobb and Raymond Cohen.
Ann’s Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Church in Fredonia, NY with the Reverend Joseph Walters officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass and may call at the Fantauzzi Funeral Home, 82 East Main Street, Fredonia, NY, on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, from 4:00-7:00 PM.
