Dorothy Kornacki, 89, of Dunkirk, died Saturday morning, December 14, 2019, at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunkirk.
She was born January 5, 1930, in Sheridan, daughter of the late John and Rose (Kublinska) Mleczko.
A retired employee of Petri Cookies in Silver Creek and a past employee of the former M. Wile Plant in Dunkirk, her memberships include Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hyacinth, Parish Rosary Society, Dunkirk Senior Citizens, Kosciuszko Club and Dom Polski Club.
Dorothy liked traveling, day trips to the casinos, playing bingo, but most of all time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are a brother Danny Mleczko of Kentucky, daughters-in-law Lin-da (Pete) Wasiela of Silver Creek and Judy Fabritius; brother in law Alex Kornacki of Buffalo, grandchildren Jennifer (Jay Jacques) Corsi Of Dunkirk, Ted Hanson of Ohio, Mark Fabritius of Dunkirk, great-grandchildren Tyler, Siera and Trevor Jacques and Aaliyah Hanson.
Preceded in death, in addition to her parents, is her husband Eugene Kornacki, who died in April 1983, children Barbara Leahy, James, Eddie and John Fabritius, sisters Sophia Pachol, Vickie Wallace, Brothers John, Harry, Leo, Eddie and Archie Mleczko.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E Doughty Street in Dunkirk on Wednesday from 3-6 p.m. A Mass Of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 o’clock in Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
