Grace A. Leckliter
Grace A. Leckliter, 91, a daughter of the late James and Clara Koch Wade passed away on November 29, 2019, at home. A resident of Dunkirk, she attended St. Mary’s Academy and Fredonia State Teacher’s College. She had been an American Red Cross staff member for 34 years and a volunteer including first aid instructor, Blood bank program, CPR, and at many disasters in Chautauqua County, for 23 years. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Mrs. Leckliter had been a member of the former Zonta Club of the Dunkirk-Fredonia area.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert I. Leckliter; granddaughter Karen Elizabeth Lanski; brother John; and sisters, Helen, Mary and Claire Wade.
Surviving are her daughter, Barbara J. Lanski of Dunkirk; grandsons, John Lanski of Fredonia and Michael Lanski of Jacksonville, Florida; and great grandchildren, Troy, Jack, and Kierstyn Lanski.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. At her request, there will be no services. Special thanks to all her Hospice workers. Donations to Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care, 20 West Fairmount Avenue, Lakewood, NY 14750 would be appreciated. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
