Daniel “Dan” Bruce Milliman

He was born December 8, 1954 in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Bernard M. and Margaret L. Coon Milliman.

Dan had worked as an auto mechanic for Larry McKane in Mayville and Schraders Service Station in Portland and was also a dry wall installer for Quality Drywall and had been a loader operator for Hanson Aggregates.

He was a member of the William L. Travis Post 493 Mayville American Legion, the John W. Dill Post 434 Brocton American Legion, the Westfield VFW Post 6764, and the Westfield Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 118.

Dan enjoyed bowling, gardening, and softball.

He is survived by his loving companion of many years; Carolyn Fisher, two sons; Shannon (Wendy) Milliman of Hornell, NY, and John Milliman of Dewittville, NY, four brothers; Lewis (Connie) Milliman of Mayville, Steve (Jeannie) Milliman of Portland, Jeff Milliman of Sheridan, and Timothy Milliman of Mayville, two sisters; Lola (Louis) Kinney of Brocton, and Debra Henry of Spring Church, PA, four grandchildren; Griffin, Greyson, Sydney, and John Jr Milliman, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, one son; Brian Milliman, and two brothers; Brian and Joseph Milliman.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St). Burial will be in the Mayville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11 at the funeral home.
