Janet J. Crowell

Born Dec. 31, 1933 in Fredonia a daughter of the late Robert and Agnes Richardson Dorman. She was a 1953 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School.

Janet was a fulltime homemaker who assisted her husband with the daily operation of the family dairy farm and also provided child care for families.

She was a former member of the Home Bureau and 4H leader. Janet attended Laona United Methodist Church, enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting and participated in the Sinclairville Library Sewing Circle.

Mother of Jane (David) Rose of Fredonia, Joanne (Bernard) Quanz of Dansville, H. Curtis (Lorraine Gaffney) Crowell, Jr. of Camden and the late Corydon C. Crowell; grandmother of Craig (Melissa) of DeKalb, IL and Kevin (Stephanie) Rose of Fredonia; great-grandmother of Colby Rose; sister of, Ruth Faye McNamara of Cheektowaga and William (Vi) Dorman of Cassadaga. Preceded in death by the father of her children Harley C. Crowell. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial service 1 P.M. Wednesday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with visitation beginning at 11 A.M. Private burial in Villenova Cemetery.
