Miriam C. Schrantz

Born September 29, 1942, in Silver Creek, daughter of the late Harry and Dorothea (Seegert) Clark. Miriam was a retired employee of WalMart in Fredonia and had Previously worked at SS Kresge in Dunkirk. Memberships include the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fredonia.

An avid sports fan of the Oakland Raiders, but most of all she loved watching her grandchildren play sports, spending time with them, and also liked going to the casino.

Surviving is her husband of 43 years, John “Jack” Schrantz, whom she married July 17, 1976, children Kevin (Suzzane) Voss, Walter (Brenda) Voss both of Fredonia, Gary (Heather) Voss of Taylorsville, KY, Kristin Tofil of Dunkirk, Rebecca Dyckes of Dunkirk, Jason (Jennifer) Schrantz of Fredonia, Joel (Lisa) Schrantz of Silver Creek, daughter in law Karla Schrantz of Amherst, Grandchildren Kayla, Cameron, Noah, Hunter, Haley, Lucas, Alexis, Taylor, Hannah, Troy, Lawrence, Laila, Piper, Tamara, Ashlleigh (Drew), Dylan, Courtney, Casey (Shawn), Nicholas, Lindsay, Ethan, a sister Linda Fryberger of Silver Creek, brothers David Clark of Silver Creek, Paul Clark of Fond du Lac, WI, and her Feline companion “Troubles”, along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death in addition to her parents are a sister Kathleen Becker, son John Schrantz, brother in law Larry Fryberger.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call today from 4-7 p.m., at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E Doughty Street in Dunkirk. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 334 Temple Street in Fredonia.
