Peter Norman Marsh

Peter Norman Marsh, 63, of Monroe, N..C., passed away, May 11, 2020, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 11, 1956, in Chautauqua County, New York.

He is survived by his two daughters: Kristen Parsell of Silver Creek, N.Y., and Katie Marsh of Fredonia N.Y.; son, Eric (Carlee) Marsh of Forestville, N.Y.; two sisters: Judy Ames of Mayville, N.Y., and Darlene Richerson of Stockton, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Peter was a fan of NASCAR and loved his 1980 Harley Davidson, but his passions were spending time with family and his closest friend, Richard. He often came to his hometown in New York, to visit his children and grandchildren. He attended the MDA run consecutively for several years to enjoy listening to music and reminiscing about his younger years touring the East coast, playing the bass and being lead singer in his band called Grand Slam. He was a devoted, loyal and appreciated employee of Carolina Brick and Materials. Pete’s laughter, smiles, kind heart, and soul will be missed by all friends and family members in both New York and North Carolina.

Preceded in death by his parents, Norman Earl and Mabel Tanner Marsh; sister, Sandy Smith; daughter, Amy Marsh; and granddaughter Kenzie Marsh.

A celebration of life is being held on July 11, 2020, 1 p.m., at Evergreen Cemetery, Stockton’s behind the fireman grounds. Flowers and donations are respectfully declined at this time.
