John J. Pazderski Sr.

John J. Pazderski Sr., 64 of Fredonia, passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2020.

He was born July 12, 1955, in Dunkirk, to the late Edmund and Lillian (Majka) Pazderski.

A lifetime resident of Dunkirk and Fredonia, John graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1973. John then enlisted in the U.S. Army serving his country from 1973-1976, where he was stationed in Mesow, Germany.

After returning John worked at Altech Spec. Steel for 25 years. He then worked at the Fredonia Central School, where he retired on Nov. 1, 2019 after 17 years.

John loved interacting with the faculty and the students and would chuckle when the kids would call him Mr. John. After retirement he decided that he couldn’t stay home and began working part time for Fancee Medical Transportation up until his death.

John enjoyed motorcycles, vintage snowmobiles, gun shows, camping, hunting, vacations, and most of all his family. John enjoyed being called “Pa” by his grandson most of all. “Pa” and Jaxson enjoyed building and painting toy models, watching war movies and Svengoolie on Saturday nights. They also enjoyed four wheeler and snowmobile rides. A love for skeletons and also loved taking his beloved grandson out for a rootbeer.

His memberships include the Kosciuszko Club, American Legion Post 59, Dom Polski Club and First Ward Falcon Club.

Surviving is his wife Brenda (Stevens) Pazderski of 39 years, whom he married Aug. 23, 1980; daughter, Melissa Pazderski of Fredonia; son, John Pazderski Jr, of Colorado; grandson, Jaxson Jaquith; sister, Cassandra Adams; brother, Thomas (Debbie) Pazderski; aunt, Irene May; several nieces and nephews; along with his best friends: Michael Mleczko, Edziu Wallace, and Michael Krystofiak.

Relatives and friends can call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street. (Please follow guidelines for protection and Social distancing and proper precautions must be observed, against COVID-19, thank you) A Christian burial services will be held Friday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
