David N. Feinen

David N. Feinen, 82, of Sheridan, died Monday morning (Sept. 7, 2020) at home.

He was born Nov. 15, 1937, in Sheridan, the son of the late Rudy and Mary (Keilen) Feinen.

A lifelong resident of Sheridan, Dave was a graduate of Cardinal Mindszenty High School, class of 1955. He helped run the family farm, Feinen Brothers Inc. and also had been a police officer for the town of Sheridan.

An avid outdoorsman, Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening, and spending winters in Fort Myers, Fla. He was a life member of the Sheridan Fire Department, served as the Sheridan Fire District Commissioner and was a former member of St. John Bosco Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou (Ulrich) Feinen, whom he married Aug. 22, 1959; two daughters: Kathy (late Ron) Feinen Keddie of Sheridan and Patti (Paul) DeTom-maso of Leesville, La.; one brother, Richard (Marcia) Feinen of Sheridan; six grandchildren: Melissa Griffith and Mike Keddie, both of Sheridan, Nicole (Scott) Gee of Cortland, Ohio, Christopher Ruper of Sheridan, Tiffany DeTommaso of Leesville, La., and Tony (Hannah) DeTom-maso of Camp Lejeune, N.C.; 11 great grandchildren: Kelsie, Dominic, Aleia, Nathan, Carter, Ryan, Nicholas, Emily, Mylee, Giovanni and Pao-lo; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons: Bobby and Mi-key Feinen; daughter, Judy Feinen; sister, Ann Kaye; and his brother, Ronny Feinen.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dunkirk. Flowers gratefully declined.
