GOWANDA — Florence L. ” Laurie” Evans, 85 of Crestwood Drive, passed away Wednesday morning Oct. 28, 2020, at home .
Born in Center Township, Indiana County, Pa. Nov. 26, 1934, the daughter of V. Russell and Jennie G. ( Shafor) Laney.
Florence married Clarence I. Evans in Homer City, Pa., on Oct. 2, 1953. Clarence survives .
Florence enjoyed reading and traveling with her husband, she retired from the Gowanda Electronics, at the time of her retirement she worked in quality control.
Surviving besides her husband, Clarence of 67 years are 2 children; daughter, Sandra (John Worthingtin) Claflin of Corfu, N.Y.; son, Dean (Dianna) Evans of Collins; granddaughter, Nicole (Colten) Balentine; great- grandson, Jensen Balentine also survives along with nieces and nephews .
Besides her parents, Florence was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Wissinger; and two brothers: William Laney Sr. and Elmer Laney.
Services for Florence ”Laurie” were private, burial in the Pine Hill Cemetery Gowanda .
