Joan Lynn Grant

Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and fondly known as Ginger in earlier years, she married Ronald F. Grant in 1956, lived in Westfield , NY., and was a loving wife for 44 years until his death in 2000.

She worked at Welch Grape Juice Company for several years as a payroll supervisor and retired to open Natureás Way Flower Shop. Upon moving to Ocala, Fla., in 1985, they opened Stop-N-Smell the Roses Flower Shoppe with daughter, Debbie. She was a founding member of Mid-State Florists Association and a two term president of the Florida State Florists Association, receiving two prestigious awards for her service.

Joan is survived by; daughter, Debra Grant Mager and family in Ocala, Fla.; son, Mark Grant and family in Ocala, Fla., New Hampshire and Greece, son, Jeffrey Grant in Lakewood, Colo., and Tampa, and son, Scott Grant and family in Great Valley, N.Y. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Joan was a lover of nature-flowers and animals, an avid reader and dedicated loving mother.

A future memorial service will be held in Westfield, N..Y., and announced at a later date.
