Norma J. Devlin

Norma J. Devlin of Westfield, NY passed away Tuesday morning at her home with her family at her side.

She was born Sept. 2,1934, in Westfield, the daughter of the late Howard and Jessie (Baker) Burkhalder. On April 16, 1955, she married Emmett F. Devlin at St. James Roman Catholic in Jamestown, N.Y.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 65 years, Emmett F. Devlin; a son, Daniel Devlin of Westfield; a daughter, Sandra Devlin-Eckman of Westfield; a grandson, Donald (Sarah) Eckman; a grand-daughter, Heather Eckman; a great-grandson, Finn Eckman; her cousin, Dorothy (James) Brotsch of Rochester, N.Y.; also survived by several cousins.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by a son, David E, Devlin; and a brother-in-law and sister- in-law, John and Anne Madden.

Norma attended Jamestown community College where she studied business. She was an integral part of the Emmett F. Devlin Custom Farming, where she worked side by side with her husband and family. She enjoyed the sewing, camping with family, and riding motorcycle with her husband. Norma looked forward to going to Jensen Beach and Hutchinson Island in Florida, every year for the winter months. But most of all her world revolved around her family.

Friends may call at the Mason Funeral Home 37 Clinton St., Westfield, N.Y., on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church, 15 Union St., Westfield, on Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at 10 a.m. Father Romeo Hontiveros will officiate. Interment will be private at St. Dominic’s Cemetery.
