Also, his cherished grandchildren: Collin and Owen Williams of Mason, Ohio, Ethan, Kyla and Abby Birks of Riverview, Fla., Emmett and Ella Glowski of Bend, Ore. He is survived by a sister, Mary Sue (George) Vogel; and a brother, Patrick (Bonnie) Glowski.

Mark will also be sadly missed, but always remembered and loved by his father in-law, Richard Lesandro; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Faith Lesandro and brother-in- law, Brian Lesandro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Paul Glowski and Ardine Brooks Glowski; and his older brother, Peter V. Glowski.

Mark was born in Dunkirk, N.Y., on Sept. 16, 1949. He attended school in Dunkirk and graduated in 1967. He then earned his Bachelor of Science degree at SUNY Fredonia. On July 19, 1969, at Sacred Heart Church, Mark married the love of his life, Susan Marie, the daughter of Richard and the late Hazel Lesandro. Mark and Suzy settled into their home on Seel Acres in Dunkirk, where they raised their three children.

Most people will remember Mark as the manager of Tops Supermarket. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church. He was also a member of The Moniuszko Club, and for those who knew him, say it was always a better time with him in the room. He had a zest for life and enjoyed having fun with his family and friends. Any friend who was able to celebrate in the Glowski basement, where the “Glowski” drink was invented, will always have great memories to cherish of the “good old days.”

In 2002, Mark and Sue moved to the Tampa area where two of their three children and Susan’s parents had relocated. In Tampa, just like in Dunkirk, they became fast friends with everyone they met. In July of 2019, family and friends from far and near gathered at a beautiful estate in Florida for a celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary where they renewed their marriage vows. Their children have said that they set a wonderful example of how to love someone in good times and bad and in sickness and health.

Mark, your memory, love, laughter, and positivity will live on through everyone you’ve touched.

We love you.

We will be honoring Mark Paul Glowski with a celebration of life memorial service in approximately six months when the COVID virus subsides.
