Diana F. (Christopher) Majka

Diana F. (Christopher) Majka, 79, of Dunkirk, N.Y., died Thursday night, Dec. 24, 2020, at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk, N.Y., following a short illness.

She was born May 13, 1941, to the late Daniel and Mildred (Logan) Christopher.

A lifelong resident of the Dunkirk/Fredonia area, Diana graduated from Fredonia High School and later worked locally at Ceases Bakery, M. Wile Company, and Ultrapak, where she retired from her position as shipping and receiving clerk. On October 8, 1983, Diana married Joseph Majka.

Her two granddaughters were her pride and joy. She would never miss a chance at showing friends their latest pictures that she proudly kept updated in her wallet. Diana enjoyed watching them play sports and loved attending all of their softball games and swim meets. Dianna also enjoyed trying her luck at scratch off tickers, taking trips to the casino and rooting for the LA Raiders football team.

Diana is survived by her husband, Joseph W. Majka,; one daughter, Gina (Ken) Drummond of Lake View, N.Y.; and two granddaughters: Kelsey (Kyle) Gawronski and Riley Drummond, both of Lake View. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law: Josie Christopher and Jean Jagoda, both of Dunkirk, N.Y.; one brother-in-law, James Majka of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her three brothers: Ni-cholas Christopher Sr., Daniel Christopher Jr., and Richard Christopher Sr.

There will be no public calling hours. The family regrets missing the opportunity to share memories with Diana’s extended family and friends. However, the health and safety is of utmost importance at this time.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the Family.
