Michele A. Williams

Michele A. Williams, 60, of Irving, N.Y., passed away Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y.

She was born in Irving, N.Y., the daughter of the late Dawn Nephew.

Surviving are her beloved children; a daughter, Carolyn S. Williams of Irving, N.Y.; a son, Jaime Williams of Irving, N.Y.; four cherished grandchildren: Alexis and Lauryn Williams, Bryanna Blackchief and Brayden Cullinan; a great-grand- daughter, Aubree Jonathan.

Michele was a 1978 graduate of Silver Creek Central High School. She continued her studies at Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo, where she studied business administration. She worked for many years at the Early Childhood Learning Center on the Cattaraugus Reservation as a teacher’s aide. Michele was a proud member of the Turtle Clan of the Seneca Nation of Indians.

Michele was known for her generous and caring personality. She loved arts & crafts and was an accomplished Native crafter in beading and basketry. She enjoyed cooking, at the holidays Michele would make fruit baskets and cookies to share with friends, family and people less fortunate. She will be dearly missed by her family and many dear friends.

Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, N.Y., on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 at the Cattaraugus Wesleyan Indian Chapel, 12728 Route 438 Irving, N.Y.. at 1 p.m. Please assemble at the church. Burial will be in the Good Shephard Cemetery, Irving, N.Y.
