FREDONIA — Carole I. Meadows, 80, of Chautauqua Road, Fredonia, formerly of Forestville, died Saturday, Jan. 9., 2021, at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s and a short illness of pneumonia, with her family by her side.

She was born in Silver Creek, on Nov. 12, 1940, the daughter of the late Gerard “Bill” and Irene (Slawinski) Kniese.

Carole was a graduate of Forestville Central School, class of 1960 and worked as a patient care assistant with the WCA Home, Fredonia, for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and knitting & crocheting.

Survivors include a son, Sterling Langford of Fredonia; two daughters: Renee (Jose) Perez of Denver, Colo., and Lisa (Lloyd) Pasinski of Fredonia; two brothers: David (Carol) Kniese of Batavia, and Ronald Kniese of Fredonia. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a nephew, Kevin Kniese.

Due to COVID restrictions services will be private.

The family suggests memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association WNY Chapter, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6 Williamsville, NY 14221.
