Jerome “Jay” Woodruff

Born on Aug. 7, 1941, Jerome was the son of the late Earl T. and Mary A. (Fielman) Woodruff.

Jerome, who liked to be called Jay, lived in Brocton. He enjoyed going to Bob Evans and Denny’s restaurants. He was very caring, always thinking of others and telling them to have a nice day. Jerome was a sports fan and enjoyed watching the Buffalo Bills on T.V. He loved listening to Country Western music and on occasion would sing “Your Cheating Heart” and “You are my Sunshine”.

Jerome is survived by his sisters: Carol Stoll of Silver Creek, Blanche Bauza of Dunkirk and Doris Amidon of Palmyra, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Evelyn Bean, Ardean McAllister and an infant sister, Marylou Woodruff.

Services are private. NYS COVID-19 regulations require masks be worn and social distancing observed. Due to COVID-19 regulations capacity is limited.
