Margaret (Peg) Glenn

Margaret (Peg) Glenn peacefully passed away on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1931. to the late Howard and Teresa Strawser.

She attended St. Mary’s Academy in Dunkirk

Peg enjoyed reading, her daily “discovery walks”, gardening, hosting cocktail parties and cooking.

Her exceptional skills as a true culinary artist became legendary among her friends and family.

Her greatest enjoyment was derived from the “Golden Sunset Dinners” she and her late husband, David Glenn, hosted for their family at their summer lakefront home at Van Buren Point.

Peg winded down the years, that God provided her, as a resident of Fredonia Place and eventually Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

In addition to her parents and late husband, David Glenn, Peg was predeceased by her brothers: Bill and Dick Strawser; and son-in-law. Kurt Nygaard.

She is survived by her daughters: Cynthia Nygaard of Hudson, Ohio and Susan (Ron) Hall of Dunkirk; brother, Larry (Joanne) Strawser of Charlotte, N.C.; and sister-in-law. Michelene (Arthur) Eberhardt of Florida. In addition, grandchildren: Sara (Richard) Williamson of Chicago, Ill., Patrick (Alexandra) Nygaard of Hudson, Ohio, and Ryan Hall of Dunkirk.

She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Fayne, Grayson, Olivia, Parker and Madeline; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In honor of Peg entering her “final sunset”, her family asks that those who are capable please consider making an additional contribution to a charity of their choice.

A Christian Mass and celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.
