Nemesia Sanchez

She was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Ramon and Providen-Nemesia had been employed as an aide at the Dunkirk High School library and was a member of Iglesia Getsemani Church.

Survivors include two sons: Hector (Silva) Ortiz of Carlisle, Pa., and Edwin P. (Lori) Figueroa of Jamestown; two daughters: Evelyn (Jose) Alamo of Boynton Beach, Fla. and Madeline (Jose) Rivera of Dunkirk; and one sister, Eulogia (Edwin) Rivera of Orlando, Fla.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqueline Melendez; and one brother, Leoncio Sanchez.

A private funeral service will be held at Iglesia Getsemani Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Sheridan.
