Jean K. Fijal
Jean K. Fijal, 89, of Dunkirk, died Wednesday evening, Feb. 10, 2021, following a courageous battle with COVID-19.
She was born in Dunkirk, Nov. 10, 1931, daughter of the late Thomas and Louise (Swiatkowski) Michalski.
A retired employee of Civilette Law Office in Dunkirk.
Her memberships include Holy Trinity R.C. Church.
Surviving are her children Katherine (Larry) Willson of Fredonia,
David W. (Lynn) Fijal, Mary Ellen (Ed) Gibbon both of Dunkirk, grandchildren Shannon (Scott) Helwig, Deanna Fijal, Devon (Tony) Mistretta, Nickolas Szopinski all of Dunkirk, sister in law Audrey Fijal, brother in law Leonard Fijal, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death in addition to her parents are her husband Richard Fijal, sisters Beatrice England, Marjorie Fick, Dolores Lentz, brother Donald Michalski.
Entombment will be in theAssumption Mausoleum at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
