Judith Promber

Judith Promber (age 80) a native of Dunkirk, NY, passed away on February 17, 2021 at Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Judith was the daughter of Edward and Carolyn Eaker, and was born in Dunkirk, NY on November 27, 1941.

Judith, more commonly known as Judy by her family and friends was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Promber, whom she married on June 12, 1961. Her brother, Edward Eaker, sister, Carol Schuk, and sister-in-law Kathie Eaker all reside in Dunkirk, NY. Judy is also survived by her children, Lyn Augello of San Antonio, TX, Stephanie (Stephen) Anderson of San Antonio, TX, and Marcus (Amber) Promber of Dunkirk, NY. Judy had six grandchildren: Jenna Anderson, Riley Anderson, Stephen Augello all of San Antonio, TX; Kaitlin (Erik) Promber-Johanson of Busti, NY; Ryan Promber and Mariska Promber of Dunkirk, NY. Judith is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Judy is most remembered for her endless generosity and caring nature. She was always willing to help a person in need, and showed kindness in any and all situations. Judy was fiercely patriotic and took pride in her country and her family. She was a “Marine Mom,” a devout Catholic, and loved rooting for the Cleveland Browns. Judith in her spare time loved to garden, cook, and be surrounded by her pets.

Judith was welcomed into heaven by her mother, Carolyn Eaker, father, Edward Eaker, brother, Robert Eaker, son, Stephen “Jeffery” Promber, and sister-in-law, Maryann Eaker.
