Ross Ayers
PERRYSBURG — Rev. Ross V. Ayers, 88, of Perrysburg, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the Gowanda Nursing Home.
He was born on August 24, 1932 in Watertown, NY, son of the late Harry and Thelma (Curtis) Ayers. He married the former Karen Rogers who survives.
For many years, Ross was the highway superintendent for the Town of Sherman and, following, became a minister where he pastored the Perrysburg United Methodist Church and the Charlotte United Methodist Church.
He was a member of the Cherry Creek VFW as he was also a US Army Veteran having served in the Korean War.
Besides his loving wife, Ross is survived by sons, a step-son, step-daughters, a sister, grandchildren, step-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a sister.
Funeral services with military honors will be held at a later date.
Burial will be in Collins Center Cemetery.
