Dorothy Jane (Fredrickson) Jackson

Dorothy was born Janu-ary 19, 1929 in Brocton, NY the daughter of the late Harold and Mildred (Reese) Fredrickson.

She was a graduate of Brocton Central School and played basketball while at-tending there. Her love for the sport carried on as she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s high school basketball games and cheering them on.

On July 22, 1949, Dorothy married the love of her life, William “Bill” Jackson and together they raised 2 wonderful boys. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2007.

Dorothy had been em-ployed at Welch’s in West-field, NY until her retire-ment.

She enjoyed playing cards, with Bridge being her favorite. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Roger (Roberta) Jackson of West-field, NY and Larry (Gail) Jackson, of Sherman, NY and her grandchildren, Stephanie(Corey) Craw-ford, Nathan (Genna) Jack-son, Gregory Jackson, Ryan Jackson (Jennifer) and Mark Jackson (Karen). Also survived by her loving great-grandchildren; Dylan, Blake, Collin, Emmerson, Lily, Kane and Carson.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Betty (Fredrickson) Titus and her brother Mar-tin Fredrickson.

Funeral services will be held privately and are being cared for by the MORSE FUNERAL HOME, 51 Highland Avenue, Brocton, NY 14716.

Memorials in honor of Dorothy can be made to the Mayville VFW, 10 Memorial Dr, Mayville, NY 14757.
