GOWANDA — Charles E. Beaver, 87, of Gowanda, passed away Saturday April 3, 2021 at Buffalo General Hospital. He was born on Nov. 23, 1933 in Gowanda, son of the late Kenneth and Viola (Stevens) Beaver.
He graduated Gowanda Central School in 1954 and then joined the U.S. Army following his graduation. Chuck later went on to work for Moench Tanning in Gowanda until his retirement.
Mr. Beaver is survived by a brother-in-law, Dana (Doris Jones) Boss of Gowanda, a niece, Denise (Donald) Veloski of Collins, and a nephew, Kenneth (Betsey) Boss of East Aurora. Also surviving are great nieces and nephews: Abigail (Jeff Higman) Boss, Matthew Boss, and Connor Boss, and Joshua (Alyssa Connors) Veloski, and Dayna Veloski, as well as several cousins.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Donna Boss.
Friends may call on Friday, April 9, 2021, from 4-5:30 p.m. from Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St. in Gowanda. Funeral services with military honors will immediately follow at 5:30 p.m. from the funeral home.
Burial will be in Collins Center Cemetery.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required and limited occupancy observed.
