Kimberly A. Pagels

IRVING — Kimberly A. Pagels, age 57 of Sulphur Springs Road, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y.

Born into the Hawk Clan of the Seneca Nation of Indians Aug. 24, 1963, she was the oldest daughter of the late Donna and Randolph “Bugs” Mohawk. Loving mother to Matthew B. Pagels (Amanda), grandmother to Ivee and Ella. Kim is survived by siblings Leif (Jana) and Stacey Mohawk nieces Donna Kay, Lacey and nephews Randolph, Maxwell and Blake Mohawk. Preceded by nephew Rick Mohawk

Kim graduated from Gowanda Central School Class of 1981 and from Hilbert College in 2016 earning her bachelor’s degree in business. She most recently worked for the Seneca Nation Education Department as assistant director and held many other prominent positions as well as serving on multiple committees. Her dedication and commitment to the Seneca Nation was commendable and paved the way for the future.

Kim had many loves in her life including spending time with her family and friends, competing in any kind of games, from golf, softball to games of chance. Kim was a great friend, caring, fun loving and always laughing. She was most proud of her accomplishments of her family and her support and guidance will be everlasting

Friends may call Wednesday evening April 7 and on Thursday, April 8, from the home of Kim’s brother Leif Mohawk 10974 White Dr. Perrysburg where her funeral will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow in the Indian Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda.
