William D. Miller

He was the son of James A. and Joan E. (Johnson) Miller and grew up with eight siblings in the East Town of Dunkirk.

Bill graduated from Dunkirk High School and married Barbara Crandall in 1977. They had four children together, Christina (Paul Launier), Lynn Ciancio, Daniel (Jessica), and David. They grew up with love and mischief that was often fueled by their father.

In 2011, Bill married Patricia Waite. Cassandra Smith and Ken Smith joined his family that now totaled six children, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Bill was light-hearted and easy going. He enjoyed fishing, campfires, and being with the people that he loved. He was a man that didn’t ask for much but was quick to lend a hand when needed or just a visit to chew the fat.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jim, Barb, Patty, and an infant granddaughter.

He will be greatly missed by all of those with whom he had touched their lives.
