Caroline Grace Liddell (Mancuso)

She was born and raised in Fredonia, N.Y., to O.George and Jenny (Tempio) Mancuso. Caroline married Charles J. Vacanti and after his untimely death in 1969, she raised her two sons often working three jobs to provide for her family.

In 1978 Caroline moved to Washington state to be near her sons. She met and married David Liddell in 1980. They became life-long members of St. Theresa’s parish in Federal Way. David predeceased her in 2016.

Caroline was involved in several gardening clubs and was well known for her beautiful flower arrangements. Often to brighten the day of her granddaughter Ashley, she would make her a special flower arrangement. Caroline also enjoyed chorale singing, reading, and dancing.

Caroline was a long-time employee of the True Temper Corporation in Dunkirk, N.Y., and sold real estate part-time. When she moved to Washington state, she held several jobs, but was most proud of her work for the Boeing Commercial Airplane Company.

She is survived by her sons: David (Shirley) Vacanti of Anacortes, Wash., and Daniel (Becky) Vacanti of Federal Way, Wash. Her brother, Charles Mancuso of Bedford, N.H.l sisters: Gina Palermo of Fredonia, N.Y., Lucille Mancuso of Fredonia, N.Y. and Marie (Bill) Sweeney of Puyallup, Wash. Grandchildren” Matthew (Jennifer) Vacanti, Sarah (Luke) Golesh, Stephen Vacanti, Nicholas (Chelsea) Vacanti, Elizabeth Ashley Vacanti; and great-grandchildren: Merrick and August Golesh.
