Paul Durward 88 of Hamburg, N.Y., passed away at his residence on June 2, 2021 of natural causes.
Paul served in the Merchant Marines from 1949-51 and was employed at Niagara Mohawk before operating Durward Paving for 30 years in Hamburg. In later years he had multiple rental properties in Skyline Management before his retirement.
He was a member of the Dunkirk exempts and Hamburg Knights of Columbus. Paul always enjoyed being on his boat with his family and friends on Chautauqua Lake. He also loved traveling and antique cars, often going to shows.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Mary Durward of Kenmore; a daughter, Kathy Hillery of Bolling Texas; as well as his two sons: Jeffrey Durward of Cassadaga, and Jason Durward of Fredonia. Two stepsons: John Lynch and Timothy Lynch; and stepdaughter, Heather Novak. Also surviving his granddaughter, Carrie Cinatra of Silver Creek; and his brother, Gerald Durward of Birmingham, Ala.
Also predeceased by his granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Roney.
