David W. Cummings

Born in Gowanda, March 17. 1958, the only child to Richard and Helen (Wagner) Cummings.

David married the former Sharon A. Luce in Zoar Valley on July 4, 1999.

Surviving besides his loving wife are his children: Richard (Cindy) Cummings of Michigan, Krystal (Joshua) Herbeck of Buffalo, Clifford Cummings of Amherst and the late Laura Cummings; step-children: Avie (Greg) Shawl and Javan Tanner (Sam Smith) of Cattaraugus; grandchildren: Damion, Lazarus and Elijah Cummings, Joshua Herbecker Jr. along with step-grandchildren: Kaye Raine, Felixs Shawl and Sebastian Tanner.

He was a vendor at many of the flea markets through out western, New York. His past employment included seasonal jobs for the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center and for the LK Painter Center in Collins, he was a security guard with Burns Security and a cab driver in Olean servicing the tri-county area.

David was a member of the Assemnly of God Church of Gowanda and a past member of the Collins Volunteer Fire Department

Friends may call Tuesday Aug. 3, 2021, from 11 a.m.-1p.m., from the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St., Gowanda, NY 14070 . David’s funeral will commence at 1 p.m., at the close of hours Tuesday with the Rev. David Gabel officiating, interment in the Liberty Park Cemetery Cattaraugus.
