George Watson

George is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, MaryAnn Watson; four children: Frank Watson, Jane Watson, Nicole Haight and George Watson; and 11 grandchildren.

George worked at the Al Tech Steel plant in Dunkirk for 16 years before starting a home inspection business- HomePro of Western NY, later joined by his son, Frank. George valued service to his local community and was an active member and former president of the Dunkirk/Fredonia Lions Club.

In his retired years, he was often found zipping around town in his blue Shelby Cobra as an active member of the Lake Shore Street Rod Association. George was a devoted friend to many and would often socialize over a cold beer and card game at The Fredonia Beaver Club. He cherished his garden, bird feeding and fishing the lo-cal waters with his sons. Anyone who knew George understood his edgy sense of humor. He was full of pride and compassion for his family. He will be dearly missed by many, and his teachings will be passed forward.
