John J. Zmuda

He graduated from Kenmore West High School in 1963, obtained his associates degree in 1965 and his bachelors degree in electrical engineering in1982.

John was the facilities and transportation manager at Erie 2, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus BOCES from 1989-96 and business owner of ACT Electric for more than 25 years.

He loved spending time with his family, working on classic cars and painting. Together for over 30 years with his lovely wife, Betty Jo Zmuda; father of Christine (Brian) Seibert of Cassadaga N..Y., John (Alicia) Zmuda of Greenville S.C., and Barbara Zmuda of Dunkirk N.Y.; stepfather of James Jr. (Jennifer) Rizzo of Brocton N..Y., and Shannon (Bill) Navarro of North Carolina; grandfather of Ashley, Adam (Ashley) and Alisa Seibert, Shaun Zmuda, Jessica and Hunter Rizzo and Zachary Navarro; great-grandfather of Sophia Rizzo. Also, survived by his sister, Mary Kwietniewski; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceeded in death by a daughter, Deborah Smith; Sisters: Deloris Hopkins and Joanne Carlson; and his brother, Joseph Zmuda. John touched so many during his life and he was known for all of his smooches. He will be dearly missed.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., today at the LARSON-TIMKO funeral Home, 20 Central Ave., Fredonia N..Y. Funeral service will be held at Larson-Timko Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10 a.m followed by graveside blessing.
