Joy L. Jewell, 58, of Brocton, N.Y., died on Sept. 18, 2021, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa. On June 10, 1963, Joy was born in Kingston, R.I. She was the daughter of the late James Edward and JoAnne (Eddy) Goulding.
While raising her four children, Joy enjoyed crafting and gardening. She was most delighted to spend time with her family, especially the grandchildren.
Joy is survived by her children: Julie Spinuzza of Florida, Jason Wood of Maine Victoria Wood of New York, and Ashley Wakely. She will truly be missed by her grand children: Nicole and Jacob Spinuzza, Joseph Watson, Bryan and Alena Wakeley; and her brother, James Goulding of Falconer, N.Y.
Honoring the family’s wishes, there will be no prior visitation and the interment will be private. On Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021, there will be a celebration of Joy’s life at the Brocton, N.Y. American Legion facility, beginning at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help with funeral expenses.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Michael R. Fantauzzi, owner and director of the FANTAUZZI FUNERAL HOME, 82 E. Main St., Fredonia, N.Y.
