Richard D. Polasik
Richard D. Polasik, 82, of Dunkirk, died Sarturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at Brooks Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Dunkirk, Jan. 17, 1939, son of the late Clement and Mary Ann (Walas) Polasik.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran from 1956-59, and received the Good Conduct Medal.
A past employee of Kraft Foods in Dunkirk until their closing, and then retired from Cliffstar Corporation in Dunkirk.
His memberships include Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Parish Church of St. Hedwig, First Ward Falcons Club, Forth Ward Falcons Club, Moniuszko Club and Kosciuszko Club, Murray Hose Co. 4, and also a volunteer fireman with Murray Hose Co. 4.
Surviving are a son, Rick Polasik and daughter, Kelly (Jack) Chlosta both of Hamburg; granddaughter, Jaylin Chlosta; and nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death in addition to his parents is his wife, Mary L. (Damico) Polasik ,who died May 25, 2016; and brother, John Polasik.
Per Rich’s wishes, for privacy to the family, no services will be held.
