Evelyn E. Paddock

Evelyn E. Paddock, 88, of Mayville, N.Y., passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, in St. Vin-cent Health Center, Erie, Pa., following a brief illness.

Evelyn was born Sept. 8, 1933, in Olean, N.Y., a daughter to the late George and Alta (Clark) Kraft.

She attended Westfield Central School and graduated in the class of 1950. She went on to earn an associate degree at James-town Business College. Following her college years, Evelyn began working as a bank teller in West-field.

On July 2, 1955, Evelyn married William “Bill” Paddock in Hartfield, N.Y., in the United Brethren Church. Together they raised three wonderful children.

When Evelyn and Bill’s children were older, she be-gan employment at the Willow Lodge Adult Care facility in Chautauqua, N.Y., for many years caring for many people. Following retirement, Evelyn took pride in being a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, loved to bake and often took her delicious baked goods to craft shows to sell. When time permitted, Evelyn enjoyed reading, traveling and go-ing camping with her husband, Bill. Evelyn was a faithful parishioner of the First United Methodist Church of Westfield, N.Y., and a member of the Home Bureau, Mayville Chapter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Holly; brothers: Ernie, George and Herman Farr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 66 years, William F. Paddock; her daughter, Susan Cummings and her sons: Jeff (Brenda) and Randall (Janet) Pad-dock, all of Mayville, NY, 10 beloved grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters: Josephine (the late Pete) Knowlton and Marian (Woody) Braley; her brothers: Jerry (the late Gladys) Farr, Gene (the late Eleanore) Farr, Tom (Ada) Farr and Everett ‘Sonny’ (Kathy) Farr; sister-in-law, Mickie Farr; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at the MORSE FUN-ERAL HOME, 51 High-land Ave., Brocton, N.Y., on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021 from 6-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held there on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, at 11 a.m., with Pas-tor Nick Perry of the First United Methodist Church of Westfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Westfield Cemetery, Academy Street, Westfield.
