Jeanette Althea Aberdeen, 62, of South Dayton, N.Y., died Friday morning (Oct. 15, 2021) at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, N.Y., following a long battle with multiple health issues.

She was born Dec. 12, 1958, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, the daughter of the late Cuthbert K. and Alma E. (Marcellin) Aberdeen. She immigrated, along with her immediate family, to the United States on Dec. 6, 1970.

Jeanette was a resident of both Little Valley, N.Y., and South Dayton, N.Y. , for over 35 years. She loved music, especially singing and dancing, drawing and art. Some of her artwork is displayed at Western NY DDSO Daycare.

Survivors include three sisters: Marie (Kelvin) Hayes, Margaret Aberdeen, and Joy Aberdeen; one brother, Lincoln Aberdeen; her niece, Chantel Aberdeen; three nephews, Kenall Haynes, Marlon (Natasha) Haynes, and Colin (Joey) Cawthorne; great-niece, Naja Haynes; great-nephews, Zion, Jaden, Jourdan, Myles, Cole Haynes and Forest Cawthorne; and a host of cousins and care-givers.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Aberdeen; sister, Jacqueline Aberdeen; and her uncle, John Marcellin.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
