Donald L. Bennett Sr.

Born in Angola. N.Y., May 20, 1937, into the Deer Clan, the son of Frederick Sr. and Ruby (White ) Bennett.

Donald was a U.S. Army veteran honorably serving his country from 1961-67. He married the former Jacklin J. (Plummer) Bennett. Donald worked construction and was a member of The Construction Workers Union Local 210 of Buffalo .

Surviving besides his former wife Jacklin are children: Donald Bennett Jr., Debra Bennett Parsons, Tina Bennett, Kelly Hise, Rodney Bennett; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews also survive .

Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Bennett; and a daughter, Tracie Bennett, his siblings: Lorraine Bennett, Pamela Torres, Frederick Bennett Jr., Clarence and Gerald Bennett.

Friends may call at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME, 44 Center St., Gowanda on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 7. p.m. Masks required if not fully vaccinated. Speaking and sharing stories are welcome through the day and Donald’s service will close at the end of hours at 7 p.m., on Monday.
