Linda Marlene Raeder, Williams, Robson, Travis

Linda, who was born September 27th 1945 in Los Angeles, California to Frank Raeder and Geraldine (Knee) Raeder, passed away on Thursday May 12th 2022 due to Heart Failure.

Linda was a bus driver for Brocton Central School for 37 years before retiring. She was a hard worker and Jack of all trades. In addition to driving bus, she worked in the meat department at Loblaws in Westfield N.Y., for Brocton Central School summers painting and cleaning, Tended bar at Calarco’s Bar in Westfield, and as a Receptionist at Westfield Healthcare Center. In between jobs Linda also helped out at the Raeder family farm tying grapes and running the fruit stand. She also put her many talents to work on building two homes in her lifetime.

Linda was not all work, she also enjoyed life to its fullest. She played woman’s softball for Densmores Bar in Brocton N.Y. for years. She was known for giving some pretty wild and interesting parties. Her choices of music reflected her personality to a Tee ranging from country music to AC/DC. Other activities that she enjoyed were camping, rafting and canoeing. Linda loved to travel with her husband Lynn and explore new roads. But one of her favorite things to do was to sit on the back porch with a good wine chatting with family and friends, while humming birds buzzed around and her many wind chimes tinkling.

Being the Matriarch of the family she took very seriously, always planning Holiday get togethers and family birthdays. She was the glue that kept the family connected even though they are spread from coast to coast. A big hole has been left with her passing.

Linda was proceeded in death by her parents, her first husband Bill Williams, A brother George Raeder and several nephews, Jerry Raeder, Chad Raeder and Mark Raeder.

Linda is survived by her husband of 17 years Lynn Travis, Daughters Machelle Long (Daric), Vickie Bogle (Bud). Stepchildren Randy Travis (Teresa), Tammy Travis (Steve), Ron Travis and Lori Travis, 17 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren, Sisters Nella Perrine(Bill), Kathy Bovee (John), brothers Mike Raeder, Frank Raeder (Pat),and many Nieces and Nephews.

At Linda’s request a Celebration of Life will be held at the Brocton American Legion in Brocton N.Y. on Sunday May 22nd at 2:00PM for one last big Hurrah. In Leu of flowers donations can be made to Chautauqua Hospice or the Brocton American Legion.
