Samantha A. ‘‘Sam’’ Mutch
Samantha A. ‘‘Sam’’ Mutch
WESTFIELD – Samantha A. ”Sam” Mutch, 33, formerly of Westfield, N.Y., passed away peacefully Saturday, July 23, 2022, in St. Vincent Health Center of Erie, Pa., with her loving family near her side following a brief illness.
Sam was born Oct. 4, 1988, in Bristol, Conn., a daughter to Timothy and Rhonda (Madore-Boling) Mutch.
Samantha was always so full of life and as a young girl she loved being the center of attention with all her singing and various performances.
Following high school, she went on to begin working and to begin building her life. She brought her first son, Alexander into this world in July of 2007, and eventually brought a second son named Bentley into the world in May of 2013.
In September of 2013 the family suffered a tragic loss of their brother, James. It was then that Samantha became the rock for her family even when it felt impossible to her. She was the most laid back, kind, selfless and loving person you could meet.
Sam had been employed for many years as a toll booth collector for the New York State Thruway where many people were blessed with seeing her contagious smile and enjoying her goofy, outgoing personality and silly jokes she always used to lighten the mood or make you smile. She had a gift of making people smile and feel good about themselves. She was a wonderful, devoted mother who loves her boys more than anything.
Samantha left this world as that same selfless, giving person that she was, and was an organ donor and because of her loving acts her spirit will now live on through others as well as through her sons and her family. She has always been and will always be a hero to many.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons; Xander and Bentley; parents, Timothy (Laura Geraci) Mutch and Rhonda (Reed Boling) Mutch-Boling; sisters: Sheena (Kyle) Miller and Shannon Mutch; brother, Justin Rawlinson; and stepbrothers and step-sisters. She is further survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
Sam was preceded in death by her brother, James R. Deblois, who passed away in 2013.
Family will receive friends Friday July 29, 2022, at the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Avenue, Brocton, N.Y., from 5-7 pm where Pastor Nathan Lesher of the Harvest Chapel Free Methodist Church of Fredonia, N.Y., will conclude with prayer.
Burial will be private.
