Suzanne M. “Susie” Blankenberg

She was born in Dunkirk, N.Y., the daughter of Carl and Diana (Miserendino) Seegert. On Feb. 14, 1987, she married Paul G. Blankenberg at the First United Presbyterian Church in Silver Creek.

Susie is survived by her mother, Diana Seegert of Silver Creek; her loving husband, Paul Blankenberg; two daughters: Jenna (Christopher) Windus of Olean, N.Y., and Sara (Zachary) Kasperek of Fort Rucker, Ala.; four cherished grandchildren: Gabriel, Xander, Nora and Charleigh; a brother, Walter (Elaine) Seegert of Buffalo, N.Y.; two nieces: Rebecca Seegert and Melissa Nopwaski; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Seegert of Silver Creek.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Seegert; and a brother, Thomas Seegert.

Susie was a 1974 graduate of Silver Creek High School. She was employed in the medical field as a registered nurse. She worked in the ER and ICU for Buffalo General Hospital and TLC Lakeshore Hospital in Silver Creek.

Relatives and friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave., Silver Creek, on Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, from noon to 2 p.m., where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Father Daniel Fiebelkorn of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will be private in the Glenwood Cemetery, Silver Creek.
