GOWANDA — Rosalie M. Foloran, 66, passed away at home Saturday October 22, 2022.
Born in Gowanda September 6, 1956 the daughter of Richard ( Dickie Bird) and Sylvia ( Korbar) Foloran.
Rose was a licensed hairdresser and had her own shop called Rose’s Hair Design. She was a bartender for over 40 years working at the former Tub Town Tavern In Collins and had been the head bartender at the James Cruden VFW Post 5007 in Gowanda for the past 20 plus years . She retired in August .
Survivors include her sister Nanette Foloran of Gowanda , her nephew Ian Williamson of Gowanda along with 2 great nephews Cameron and Greyson. Rose is also survived by her soulmate Tommy ( marbles) Militello with whom she shared her life with and loved for many years. Rose and Tommy shared the same interest, she enjoyed antiquing and always found treasures that usually got gifted to friends. Rose was a very selfless person that put everyone before herself. She had a class about herself she didn’t realize she had, everything with her came naturally and out of love. “Presentation” was a big part of her living . She will be greatly missed . When preparing her final wishes with the funeral home before she passed she wanted me to make sure I included these sentiments “I have good friends and am grateful we were at the party together”.
A ” Party” for Rose will be held Saturday October 29, 2022 at the VFW Post 5007 on Sand Hill Gowanda at 12 noon . See you at the party.
The family will privately lay Rose to rest with her parents at the Holy Cross Cemetery Gowanda.
Arrangements are by the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda.
