DUNKIRK — Robert N. Hubbard, 73, of Shorewood Drive West, Dunkirk, passed away Monday, December 26th, 2022 at his residence, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Dunkirk on January 6, 1949, the son of the late Sheldon and Harriet (Dorsett) Hubbard.
Robert was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1967 and received his Bachelors in Education from SUNY Fredonia. He worked as a Field Representative for Reid Petroleum Corporation, Lockport, retiring after 14 years. Robert was a Science Teacher and wrestling coach for Randolph Central School, owned & operated the former Perkins Restaurant in Fredonia & Largo, FL and then the former Get N Go Convenient Store in Fredonia. Mr. Hubbard was a Town of Dunkirk Judge since 2012, currently owned Hubbard’s Trailer Court, Forestville and was a member of Hanover Masonic Lodge 152 F&AM.
He enjoyed camping with his family, especially at the Hubbard Pavilion. Robert was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, enjoyed singing & performing in his Elvis suit and loved his mustangs.
Survivors include his wife Roxane R. (Comello) Hubbard, of Dunkikrk, whom he married on July 15, 1995, at their home on the lake in the Town of Dunkirk, three daughters, Kara (Calvin) Saletta, of Fredonia; Amber (Jeffrey) White, of Dunkirk; Shannon (Steven) Billheimer, of Saugerties, NY; and a sister, Norma Colvin, of Cherry Creek. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, one great grandson, several nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews. Besides his parent he was predeceased by a brother in law Charles Colvin and a nephew Lance Colvin.
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Thursday from 4-7 PM from where Funeral Services will be held Friday morning at 11 o’clock with Rev. Michael Spell, pastor of Laona United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Forestville Cemetery. A Masonic Service will be conducted by members of Hanover Masonic Lodge at 6:30pm.
