Jerome (Jerry) E. Hager

Collins – Jerome (Jerry) E. Hager, 72, of Collins, passed away January 23, 2023 surrounded by his family.

The son of the late George W. and Lillian S. (Eliason) Hager, born in Gowanda on January 19, 1951.

Jerry graduated from Gowanda High School in 1969. He then went on to serve in the United States Air Force. After the service, and college, he went on to work at several nuclear plants in the northeast as an instrument technician. He eventually took a position at West Valley Demonstration Project, where he retired from in 2013.

Jerry leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Ruth (Waterman) Hager, and their four children: Ronald (Cindy) Tadt, Jr. of Lenox, GA, Jason (Shannon) Tadt of Collins, Matthew (Stephanie) Tadt of Collins, and Lindsey Hager (Charles Shantler) of Collins. His sister, Joan (Thomas) Duffey of Gowanda. As well as, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many nieces & nephews, brothers & sister in laws, and friends.

A memorial luncheon will be held at the Gowanda VFW on February 11, 2023 from 12pm-4pm.
