Julian E. Matte
GOWANDA –Julian E. Matte age 64 of Dayton Rd. passed away Sunday morning February 6, 2023 unexpectedly at the Mercy Hospital in South Buffalo surrounded by family .
Born in Buffalo, NY August 15, 1958 the son of Jacques and Muriel (Labahve) Matte.
Julian was self employed and did various construction jobs in the area, he shared his life with Diane (Tessmer) Luther for many years before her untimely death December 2, 2008.
Julian was a welcoming face at the Master Plan in Dayton where he would help and be a part of the activities and volunteer projects to help the community. He will be missed .
Survivors include his siblings; Celena White of Austin, Tx., Michael Matte of Austin, Tx., Adrien Matte of Gowanda, NY and Rene Marie Matte of Austin, Tx. Several nieces , nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive along with Diane’s children and grandchildren .
A Celebration of Julian’s life will take place Saturday February 11,2023 @ 11:00am from the Versailles Community Hall; Main St. Versailles, NY with Dan Davis of the Master Plan of Dayton Officiating .
Arrangements are by the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda, NY.
