Dr. Susan Mary Paige of Ellenton
Dr. Susan Mary Paige of Ellenton, Florida, formerly of Kenmore and Dunkirk, New York, died surrounded by her children at Blake Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, on Tuesday, April 18 from injuries sustained as a bystander near a traffic accident on Thursday, April 6. She was 74.
Dr. Paige enjoyed a 26-year career at SUNY, including Buffalo State College, where she taught for 22 years.
She was predeceased by her parents Frank A. and Irene (Szalkowski) Paige Jr. and brother Robert A. Paige.
Dr. Paige is survived by children Amanda (Evan Piotter) Botto-Piotter, Jimmie (Kelly Kester) Botto and Jenna (Scott Lassell) McPhee; grandchildren Izabella Santell, Olivia Horning, Jack Piotter, Arlo Piotter, Brayden Botto, Cade Botto and Riley Paige Lassell; great-grandchild Alijah James Horning; and brother James B. (Linda) Paige.
Family will be present for visitation at Mackowiak Funeral Home in Dunkirk on Friday, April 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, 1032 Central Ave., Dunkirk, on Saturday, April 29, beginning at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Daughters of the American Revolution or the Green Beret Foundation.
