Matthew J. Joint, 50, died at his residence in Ripley, NY, late Saturday evening, April 15, 2023, following a long illness. On August 8, 1972, Matthew was born in Erie, PA to Dennis and the late Jane Elizabeth Joint.
In Erie, PA, Matthew worked both as a Professional Chef and Walmart. He and his wife, Diana were proud of their beautiful home in Ripley, NY, which they built themselves off of Sherman Road. Throughout his illness, he loved being on his porch with Diana, looking out at their homestead. Matthew was courageous battling his prolonged illness and Diana was his loving and faithful caregiver throughout his final journey.
When he was younger and prior to his debilitating illness, Matthew thoroughly enjoyed driving his Pontiac GTO TransAm. In fact, there was an great effort to get it road ready so he could have his final ride. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to carry out his dream.
Matthew will be truly missed by Diana (Suhy Joint), his three daughters – Jane Thomas, Molly, and Mattelynn Joint, all of Ripley, NY, his sister, Meghan Joint of Erie, PA, his one granddaughter and father, Dennis.
Matthew's Funeral Service will be private. and his Celebration of Life will be held at a date announced by Michael R. Fantauzzi , Director of the MATHEWS FUNERAL HOME, 104 West Main Street, Ripley, NY.
